Whitelight Productions (WLP) had its origins in 1981 as an adviser on Film Script Prospectuses for Investors into the Film Industry. 

In 2005 after three years of developing scripts and becoming frustrated at how easy it was to get paid to develop scripts but how hard it was to get people to produce them we started our own production company.

In that same year, WLP put together a syndicate to apply for the Film Licensed Investment Company (FLIC) status being offered by the Department of Communications, IT and the Arts. We were ultimately unsuccessful but our team consisted of well known industry personalities as Cliff Green, Ken Sallows, Don Parham, Oscar Whitbread and Kate Whitbread.

We also developed an innovative investment package in partnership with IOOF to offer investors a better deal under 10BA tax break program with a view to raise $10 million per year. This project was shelved in 2006 by IOOF in favour of other products and ultimately killed off when 10BA was abolished on 1st July 2007.r
